DESIGN METHODOLOGY/PHOTO VISUALIZATION
PHOTO VISUALIZATION is a design method of creating detailed and realistic architectural imaging.
Rather than presenting complex technical architectural drawings to the client, our firm renders 3D models through computer graphics (CG) of photographic quality to present the space as envisioned. 3D models make it easier for clients to view and verify components before construction, such as proposed built-in furniture and fixtures, and irregularly shaped floor plans and layouts.
Advantages of using CG
-
SIMULATION
One great advantage of CG is the ability to view the proposed plan, almost equivalent in image and quality as photographs taken after construction is complete. Another advantage is the ability to thoroughly look over the interior spaces before construction begins. In many cases, the ability to virtually see the proposed "finished" interior space may trigger thoughts, such as "the color of the hardware here should match the color of the furniture" or "this space is missing something." As a designer, the relationship between the building and its interior is verified through CG. It is during this process adjustments are made to address when "something doesn't fit properly" or "this part needs tweaking,'' which often results in a more beautiful space.

Tools other than CG

View and verify through architectural models and material samples
Although CG is capable of producing images that are close to reality, it cannot create the "feel" and "texture" of materials, and the spatial relations within the structure.

Texture and feel of materials
Texture and feel of materials
Samples of materials are requested during the design phase and through the construction process. The best way to confirm materials and colors are to see them on site. This process cannot be confirmed with computer graphics.
Spatial relation of the building
CG has limitations in movement, in this regard an architectural scale model allows for a different perspective. The client can hold the physical model, view from different angles, or remove a wall, which can stimulate the imagination. At the time of the initial presentation, we will agree on a timeline when to make the model and when to confirm details with computer graphics.
Our practice is to deliver an architectural scale model at the time of the initial proposal, then produce CG after planning adjustments are made. You can choose whether we deliver CG at the completion of the basic plan or at the end of the detailed plan, right before the construction begins.
CG production is included in the design fee.
